Is the vehicle wheelchair accessible (ramp, lift, tie-downs)?
Yes all our 26 specially adapted wheelchair accessible taxi Minivan's have ramps and tie downs.
Can I stay seated in my wheelchair, or do I need to transfer to a seat?
The choice is yours, you can stay in your wheelchair or if you prefer to transfer to a seat.
What is the maximum size/weight capacity for wheelchairs or scooters?
One wheelchair passenger and four other passengers.
Is there storage space for collapsible chairs or mobility aids?
Yes there is ample storage/ luggage space in each vehicle.
How much assistance does the driver/guide provide with boarding?
All our driver guides are fully trained in wheelchair manual handling and are happy to help.
What is included in the tour price?
Driver guide, vehicle, fuel and tolls.
What is not included in tour price?
Entry fees, meals or accommodation
Terms & Conditions
Tour Terms and Conditions:
Please read carefully, as they set out our respective rights and obligations. Once you have booked your tour, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
Booking & Confirmation:
Once About Ireland Taxi Tours confirms your booking, a contract is formed. Bookings are confirmed via email once a deposit or full payment has been received. It is your responsibility to ensure your email address is correct and to follow up if you do not receive confirmation.
We reserve the right to release availability without payment of a deposit or full balance. Please check all dates and details on your confirmation carefully.
No stag, hen, or drinking party groups will be accepted.
Insurance:
Travel insurance is not included. We strongly recommend comprehensive coverage, including medical, personal accident, cancellation, baggage, and public liability. We accept no responsibility for theft, loss, or injury during your tour or while participating in any optional activities outside our inclusions.
Cancellations & Changes
Cancellation by you:
Up to 48 hours before departure: 10% fee.
24–48 hours before departure: 20% fee.
Less than 24 hours or no-show: No refund.
Changes by you:
Up to 24 hours before departure: Subject to driver approval.
Less than 24 hours before departure: At driver’s discretion.
Post-Booking Amendments:
We understand that plans can evolve; however, once a tour has been confirmed, administrative planning and supplier arrangements are immediately put in place.
Minor Itinerary Adjustments (Within the Same Confirmed Dates):
Reasonable minor adjustments to a day’s itinerary (for example, removing one attraction and substituting another within the same geographic area and tour duration) may be accommodated, subject to availability and operational feasibility.
All minor changes:
Must be requested in writing.
Are subject to driver and office approval.
Must not extend the agreed daily touring hours unless pre-approved.
May incur additional charges if extra time, distance, or supplier costs arise.
Minor adjustments do not include changes to travel dates, tour duration, or overall routing.
Material Changes (Dates, Duration, Route, or Group Size):
Requests to change confirmed travel dates, add or remove tour days, substantially alter the route, or change the group size are considered material amendments.
Material amendments:
Are subject to availability.
Will incur a €100 administrative amendment fee per booking.
May require cancellation and rebooking under current published rates.
May be subject to repricing based on seasonal rates and supplier costs at the time of the change.
Are not guaranteed.
Where accommodation, attractions, guides, or transport services have already been secured, any supplier amendment or cancellation penalties will be passed on to you in addition to the €100 amendment fee.
Repeated or extensive revision requests may be declined at our discretion.
We strongly recommend confirming all travel dates, group size, and itinerary details carefully prior to booking to avoid amendment fees and potential repricing.
Changes by us:
We reserve the right to alter itineraries or cancel due to unforeseen events (e.g. weather, strikes, emergencies). Where possible, comparable alternatives will be provided. No compensation will be paid for cancellations due to force majeure.
We may also adjust itineraries if new attractions become available that will enhance your experience.
Transfers & Unscheduled Stops:
Direct point-to-point transfers are scheduled in advance. If additional stops are requested during a direct transfer, the driver is required to contact the office.
Any unscheduled stops must be approved by the office, and the additional time and cost will be calculated. The appropriate fee must be paid directly to About Ireland Taxi Tours before proceeding.
Failure to follow this process:
Puts the driver in breach of company policy.
Contravenes these terms and conditions.
May result in cancellation of any future bookings without refund.
Drivers may have other scheduled jobs later in the day, and unapproved delays can disrupt service to other clients.
Travel Conduct:
You must follow Irish laws and respect local customs. The decisions of our drivers/guides are final regarding safety and schedule. If your behaviour negatively affects others or violates these terms, we reserve the right to remove you from the tour without refund or compensation.
Punctuality:
All pickup times are approximate and depend on traffic. Drivers cannot wait for late passengers beyond 5 minutes at stops. Missing your pickup or returning late from an attraction will not entitle you to a refund or compensation.
Passenger Responsibilities:
Inform us of any medical conditions in writing before travel.
Ensure you have all required travel documents.
Respect your driver/guide and fellow passengers.
Agree that we may take photographs or video during the tour for marketing purposes (group settings only).
Complaints:
If you have a concern during your tour, inform your driver/guide immediately so we can attempt to resolve the issue. If unresolved, please email your complaint within 30 days of travel. Complaints made after this period will not be considered.
Weather & Conditions:
We cannot be held responsible for adverse weather or any resulting changes to the itinerary, including the inability to dock or tender. No refunds will be given due to weather-related disruptions. For instances like this, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers you for such events.
No Smoking Policy:
Smoking is not permitted in any of our vehicles.
